My husband got orders to McConnell AFB in Wichtia Kansas. We are wanting to know what base housing is like and just how the general area is like. Thanks in advance for any info.

We have been at McConnell for 3 1/2 years now. They have a lot of family events on base and a great program when your active member is deployed. It is really easy to get to the base and everything else. I wouldn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t consider Wichita a ?¢‚Ǩ?ìBig?¢‚Ǩ¬ù city but it does have a lot to offer. A ot of military families live in Derby. The houses can be a little more expensive because it is Derby and they were in Family Magazine 2 years ago as one of the best little towns to live in. Reply
